28 Sep When SP Balasubrahmanyam asked to build his statue
SP Balasubrahmanyam left for his heavenly abode on September 25, leaving a void in the music industry that could not be filled. After a long struggle with his prolonged illness, the singer breathed his last. The ace singer allegedly asked him to create a statue for him on his last birthday. SP Balasubrahmanyam celebrated his 74th birthday in June and requested a sculptor named Rajkumar to make a statue of him.
According to the report, SP Balasubrahmanyam initially told the sculptor to make a statue of his parents, but a few days later asked him to make a statue of himself. He sent images to the sculptor because it was not possible for the singer to go to the photo shoot because of the Corona danger. The statue is now finished, and the sculptor is finishing the work.
SP Balasubrahmanyam has sung over 40,000 songs in different languages such as Tamil , Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and others. He was diagnosed with coronavirus infection and admitted to the hospital on 5 August. While he beat Corona, he had been undergoing treatment for more than 50 days, but sadly died about 1 p.m. on the 25th of September. Now, fans have been claiming that SP Balasubrahmanyam had expected his death earlier, so it was only he who ordered the statue to be built. – Adapted from Times of India
