03 Jul Taking a peek at Balenciaga’s monochromatic Drive sneakers
Balenciaga has resurrected its seasonal shoe collection with a completely new silhouette — Drive Shoes. Unlike the Track.2 footwear mark, the latest model is designed with a rich multitude of layers that highlight textural contrast, this time without bulk. “Drive” is printed at the top of the foot, accompanied by a silver mesh tongue and circular laces. Black leather panels emerge in the upper half, loop around the heel and close to the lower middle portion of the foot.
Monochromatic details extend from the heel to the side doors, intersecting with another group of rectangular panels tapering into the forefoot. All these features rest on the ultra-thin black outsole to complete the streamlined look of the pair. Balenciaga’s Monochromatic Drive Sneakers are reportedly eligible on the Luisa Via Roma website for $709 USD. – Adapted from Hypebeast
