23 Nov Silambarasan TR does not play a dual role in Maanaadu
The first-look posters of the long-awaited Silambarasan TR ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu were released a few days back. While the two posters received a great response from the crowd, they also raised suspicions among fans as to whether their star actor Silambarasan aka Simbu is playing a dual role in the film.
The first-look poster of the film is Simbu’s offering prayers with an intense look and blood pouring from his head. Interestingly, he’s got a bullet on his face, which looks like a third eye. Meanwhile, Simbu’s second poster was in a trendy avatar with a gun in his hand pointing to his head. The poster had a number of pictures of Abdul Khaaliq played by Simbu staring in various directions.
Though fans are speculating that they will be dealt with Simbu playing a dual role in the film, ‘Maanaadu’ producer Suresh Kamatachi has confirmed that this is not the case and that Simbu is playing a single role in the film. He also added that ‘Maanaadu’ is going to be a comeback film for director Venkat Prabhu after Ajith starring ‘Mankatha.’ The team began filming for the movie.
Created by Suresh Kamatchi’s V House productions, ‘Maanaadu’ also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, SA Chandrasekar, Bharathiraja, Karunakaran, Manoj, Premgi and has score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and film by Richard M Nathan. – Adapted from Times of India
