08 Sep S.P. Balsubrahmanyam has recovered from Covid-19
Legendary vocalist S.P. Balsubrahmanyam has been dealing with serious health problems caused by COVID 19 and has been admitted to Chennai’s MGM Hospital since August 5 after positive tests. The 74-year-old has been admitted to the ICU since the night of August 13 after his lung has been compromised and was not operating properly and he is being treated with a ventilator and ECMO treatment.
The good news came on Monday that SPB has tested negative for the coronavirus and he is also getting better day by day and has been watching cricket and tennis on his IPAD according to his son Charan. Now news has quoted the hospital sources that the doctors are considering a lung transplant for SPB. The hospital has already successfully transplanted lungs for a COVID 19 patient a few weeks back. It is also said that the SPB family has registered with the organ transplants division of the Tamil Nadu Heath Ministry.
