23 Aug Kamal Haasan censures Ayush Ministry!
An online conference organized by the Center for Physicians created an uproar after the union AYUSH Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said he would not talk English and asked people who did not understand Hindi to skip the party. Thirty-seven government hospital doctors from Tamil Nadu engaged in the meeting, which included 300 delegates. The program was coordinated by the Ministry of AYUSH and Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute for Master Yoga Trainers.
It has been said that most of the sessions have been held in Hindi, and the AYUSH Secretary, during his speech in Hindi, said people who raised the language issue can leave, adding that he does not speak English well. Condemning this conduct of the Ayush Minister, Makkal Needhi Maiam President Kamal Haasan tweeted that it was the modesty of the Tamil doctors that they did not challenge the Ayush officers about how they should comprehend the medication of Tamil Nadu without understanding Tamil, then he said that it was the government’s duty to work in a language that everybody knows then firmly emphasized that this is not a Hindi government, but an Indian government. – Adapted from Indiaglitgz
