Dad and former Russian Mixed Martial Arts mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov died at the age of 57 after getting coronavirus, the Chechen chief Ramzan Kadyrov reported Friday. “I have sad news, relatives, that Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has left this country,” Kadyrov wrote to the Telegram messenger, sharing the condolences of the “whole nation of Chechnya.”The fighter ‘s father was first hospitalized in his native North Caucasus territory of Daghestan in April and then moved to a Moscow facility. In May, Khabib Nurmagomedov, 31-year-old UFC lightweight champion, advised residents in Daghestan, one of the areas most impacted by the pandemic, to be “disciplined” and “listen to our physicians.”
This week he posted a picture of his tracksuited father at the Instagram training session with the title “Father” as followers said they were praying for his recovery. A week earlier, the attacker interviewed Russian tv, stating that his father no longer had the flu, but was still in intensive care with kidney and heart injury.
