06 Sep 16-Year-Old Chloe Chambers has set the best car slalom record
The Guinness World Record for the Fastest Vehicle Slalom has just been broken by 16-year-old Chloe Chambers. Coming off a previous record from China in 2018, the seasoned kart racer took the challenge in Porsche‘s manual transmission 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder. The most powerful from the 718 line up (including the 718 Cayman GT4), the Porsche 718 Spyder pushes out 414 horsepower @ 8,000 rpm via a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated boxer six-cylinder engine.
The record saw Chambers thread through 51 cones, evenly spaced at 50-foot intervals, in 47.45 seconds. “We couldn’t be more proud of the fact that Chloe set the record. We give our sincere congratulations from the entire Porsche family – we are delighted to have been able to help Chloe in her ambitious record attempt and share her joy that it has been a success, “said Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. Chambers said, “It seems quick, but it’s really not – running as quickly as possible between 50 cones, attempting to break a record time and knowing that I couldn’t hit a single one for the run to count – I really felt the strain.” Watch the video above to see Chloe Chambers’ Guinness World Record at the 2020 Porsche 718 Spyder. – Adapted from Hypebeast
